What orthodontic treatment involves
The right orthodontic option depends on the complexity of your case, your lifestyle, and your preferences. Both Invisalign and metal braces can achieve excellent results, and we assess each patient individually to discuss the options that may suit your circumstances.
Treatment begins with a consultation and records appointment (photographs, X-rays, and digital scans) used to develop your plan. Most cases range from 12 to 24 months, though simpler cases may be shorter. Following active treatment, retainers are worn to maintain the result.
We often begin orthodontic assessments in the early teenage years, when many permanent teeth have come through. Both Invisalign Teen and metal braces are available for teenage patients.

About before-and-after photos
Orthodontic results are easy to photograph badly: angle, lighting and lip position change the picture more than the treatment does. So we only publish before-and-after photographs of our own patients, taken the same way each time, and only where the patient has given written consent.
At a consultation we can show you cases we’ve treated that are close to yours, and tell you honestly which parts of them are down to the treatment.
